Jason Todd is a seasoned business strategist and real estate development professional. He is currently serving as a Development Manager at New Way Homes / Workbench, where he plays a pivotal role in the affordable housing and commercial development process. His responsibilities include acquisition management, underwriting, strategy, and financial analysis. Jason’s insight into city planning and zoning codes has enabled him to secure entitlements for office, mixed-use and affordable multifamily projects by leveraging builder-friendly laws such as SB 330, SB 9, AB 2011, and AB 1287.

Previously, Jason was the Associate Vice President of Real Estate at Calvano Development in San Francisco. In this role, he spearheaded and managed the commercial real estate development and operations, focusing on strategic growth initiatives for technology companies. Jason was instrumental in driving over $100 million in land acquisitions and navigating complex entitlement environments. Notably, he closed over $276 million in real estate assets.

1001 N Shoreline | Mountain View CA (Office)

Jason supported the operational and developmental efforts for a 7.8-acre land assembly, resulting in the redevelopment of eight subprime buildings into a Class-A office building. The project, leased to Google and sold for $169 million, showcased Jason’s expertise in navigating the entitlement process and securing joint ventures.

1075 Terra Bella Ave | Mountain View CA (Office)

Another notable project, Jason led was the redevelopment of 1075 Berra Bella. This project involved transforming a neglected area into 23,000sf Class “A” office development, 3 parcel assembly completed in 2020 ($29M).

883 N. Shoreline Blvd | Mountain View CA (Office)

Jason assisted in the was acquisition of this office park property from 3 separate owners at a 4.42% cap with 100% occupancy consisting of month-to-month tenants. The site is 1.5 acres with 30,000 net rentable square feet. The business plan for the site entailed both a near-term value-add positioning as well as a longer-term repositioning of the building.

8930 MacArthur | Oakland CA (Residential)

 Jason is on a team entitling this 83-unit multi-family housing development will result in the development of what used to be a completely overlooked lot. This 7-story project was able to utilize state laws and density bonuses in order to maximize the project’s height and unit density.

Lily of the Valley | Oakland CA

Jason is currently leading the entitlement process on this 9-unit affordable project in partnership with Lily of the Valley Christian center.
